Day 1: Arrival in Amritsar From Delhi By Train

Start your journey to Amritsar from Delhi with convenient options available:

Option 1: Shatabdi Express in the morning, which leaves New Delhi at 0720 hrs and arrives in Amritsar at 1330 hrs.

Options 2: Vande Bharat Express in the afternoon, which leaves Old Delhi at 1515 hrs and arrives at Amritsar at 2045 hrs.

It should be noted that your journey begins when you board a train in Delhi and travel to Amritsar. You are responsible for getting to the Delhi train station.

Upon your arrival at the Amritsar Railway station, our representative will pick you up and drive you to your hotel. Then, you have to check in to your hotel. Have some rest and unwind yourself after a long train journey.

Day 2: Amritsar Exploration

Your second day of this trip will start with a delicious breakfast. After that, you’ll take a sightseeing tour of Amritsar:

- Visiting the iconic Harminder Sahib, widely known as the Golden Temple.
- Exploring the Jallianwala Bagh, a memorial museum and site of historical significance during British Rule.

In the afternoon, you’ll travel to Wagah-Attari (the Indo-Pak border) to witness the evening parade of the guard changing ceremony. Also, you’ll get the chance to see the flag being lowered. Go back to the hotel and spend the night there.

Stay overnight in Amritsar.

Day 3: Journey to Katra | Driving 260 km/5–6 hours

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and make your way to Katra, a starting point of the Maa Vaishno Devi Yatra. It will take around 5-6 hours to drive there. Upon reaching, you can either sleep or start your yatra in the late night hours.

Spend your night in Katra.

Day 4: Exploring Maa Vaishno Devi Temple

On the fourth day of this trip, you’ll proceed to Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan early in the morning. This temple is located atop the Trikuta Mountains at an altitude of around 5200 feet.

The yatra to the temple involves a walk of approximately 12-13 Km (one way) from Katra base camp, known as Ban Ganga. Generally, it takes around 5-6 hours to reach the shrine. There are multiple means of transport available for helping devotees during the yatra. You can take one of those if you want to get there quickly.

After darshans at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan, you can explore the shrine complex and visit Bhairo Temple. Then, head back to Katra in the evening and relax at your hotel.

Important Information:-
- It is required for visitors to register online for the Yatra Registration Slip (Yatra Parchi).
- Throughout the yatra, the RFID yatra access card needs to be carried at all times.
- In Jammu & Kashmir, only postpaid mobile numbers are functional.

Day 5: Departure From Katra to New Delhi | By Train

Today, on departure day, we’ll transfer you to Katra railway station to board the train to New Delhi. You have two options for departure:

Option 1: Shatabdi Express in the morning, which leaves Katra at 0600 hrs and arrives in New Delhi at 1400 hrs.

Options 2: Vande Bharat Express in the afternoon, which leaves Katra at 1500 hrs and arrives in New Delhi at 2300 hrs.
